Titans Trade For Clarkson

Remember that whole post from a few hours ago about how the Titans were short a forward and might have to move Aaron Schmit up front, blah…blah…blah?  Scratch that.

Trenton has acquired Doug Clarkson from the Toledo Walleye in exchange for future considerations.  Clarkson, 24, is the brother of New Jersey Devils’ forward David Clarkson, and had tallied four goals and four assists in his first 25 pro games this season.  If nothing else, he’s certainly a big body; HockeyDB lists him at 6-foot-5, 242 pounds.

Clarkson becomes the third member of the Titans to have a brother active in the NHL; just re-added defenseman Blake Kessel is a brother to Maple Leafs superstar Phil Kessel, while injured forward Jacob Drewiske and Los Angeles’ Davis Drewiske are siblings as well.
