Rowe Returns To Toledo

(Toledo PR) (Toledo, OH) – Randy Rowe, one of the most decorated players in the history of the ECHL, has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2012-13 season.

Rowe was selected as a member of the ECHL All-Decade Team on November 10, 2010. The forward has 491 points (222 goals, 269 assists) in an ECHL career that started in 2001 with Peoria.

“Randy has been an outstanding player on the ice and a leader off the ice in this league for many years,” said head coach Nick Vitucci. “To be able to bring Randy back to Toledo gives us a great scoring presence in our forward lines. All he has done is produce at nearly a point per game in his illustrious career.”

The Burford, Ontario native has picked up 530 career points (238g, 292a). Randy has skated in 101 career games in the AHL also with St. John’s, Lake Erie and Springfield. The 2004 ECHL All-Star Game MVP skated with the Walleye in the 2010-11 season with 19 goals and 30 assists. Last season Randy played with the Trenton Titans and scored 20 goals in 61 games. Rowe has also skated for Johnstown and Charlotte in his professional career.

The Toledo Walleye will open the 2012-13 regular season on Saturday, October 13th at home against the Division Rival Kalamazoo Wings. 2012-13 Season tickets are on sale now online at http://www.toledowalleye.com, or by phone at (419) 725-9255.
