Titans Add McKenzie

The Trenton Titans have signed veteran forward Jim McKenzie to a contract.  The 28-year-old forward will be entering his sixth season of pro hockey, and has prior ECHL experience with the Elmira Jackals, Johnstown Chiefs and Stockton Thunder.

McKenzie, who scored a career high 20 goals and 44 points last season with the CHL’s Allen Americans, is a 6-foot-2, 210 pound winger who will again provide a boost in size to a relatively smaller group of forwards, as well as provide a veteran presence in the room.  A former fifth round pick of the Ottawa Senators, McKenzie also has extensive time in the American Hockey League having played in 67 games at the highest level of the minors, primarily with Binghamton.

The St. Paul, Minn. native is also expected to add some grit to the team, as he also racked up a career high in penalty minutes last season with 168.
